Allergy season is here, and people who normally suffer from spring allergies are suffering severely this year due to high amounts of pollen.

With COVID-19 still spreading around the world during allergy season, it’s important to know the differences between the two. With allergy season here, many people are experiencing sneezing, runny noses and watery eyes. During the time, these symptoms could raise red flags as symptoms of COVID-19.

One thing that could help you differentiate the two is knowing allergies won’t give you a fever, a major sign of COVID-19. If you experience chills or body aches, it could be another sign of COVID-19. The difference maker would be if you start noticing lost in taste and/or smell, which is an unusual yet common symptom of COVID-19.

The pollen forecasts are just expected to get worse, so be mindful of symptoms but don’t worry too much.
