More and More Being Vaccinated

March 19, 2021

In the past 14 days, Hamilton County has had 936 total positive cases of COVID-19. Governor Mike Dewine posted on Tuesday saying the vaccine will open up beyond Ohioans with  cancer, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary heart disease, heart disease and obesity.

Phase two includes people ages 40 and up, who on March 19th will be eligible for the vaccine. Governor Mike Dewine is trying his hardest to try to get as many people vaccinated.

¨It’s a moral imperative that we move as quickly as we can to vaccinate all Ohioans who wish to be vaccinated. We expect a significant increase in vaccines coming to Ohio soon,¨ says Dewine.

Phase three of the vaccine will be more of the teenagers — it includes Ohioans ages 16 and older. This age group will be able to get the vaccine on March 29. Most of our classmates in the high school will be able to make a change.

The only difference between the child and adult vaccine is the portion size. There have been 1,913 deaths reported from people who got the vaccine, but it is not yet concluded  that the vaccine played a part in it.

As a student, are you interested in getting the vaccine? Are you scared of side-effects or long lasting affects?
