Join the NHS Theater during their performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on April 16-18 at Norwood High School. The cast and crew began rehearsing their play after auditions last week.
The play tells the story of a love square being manipulated through the magic of fairies in the woods, specifically the mischievous Puck (played by sophomore Sophia Lampe), but no need to worry, this story has a cliche ending that is perfect. Everything falls into place.
Here are the roles of our play this year and the stars playing them: (The Lovers): Lysander played by freshman Emmett Boling, Demetrius played by freshman Matt Urell, Helena played by sophomore Jasmine Madden, Hermia played by freshman Raelin Moore, King of the Fairies played by senior Sam Young, Queen of the Fairies played by senior Lily Harlow and the comedic relief, Bottom, played by junior Ian Davis.
The final performance of the play on April 18 will take place right after the Fine Arts festival as it ends on that Sunday. The play will take place outside under the bridge, and it is very recommended to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics to enjoy.
