Self care is so important not only for your physical health but also your mental health, whether you get your nails done, hair done, take a long shower, or even do makeup or self tan.
Personally, I love all of those things. I feel it helps me feel better about myself, how I look and how I feel. I think it is very important to take care of yourself and take a day to do those things at least once a week.
When getting your nails done, you can just relax and enjoy the peace. You also have a choice of a pedicure where you get a foot massage and toes painted too. They have massage chairs that you may use (or not) depending on your mood as well.
Getting your hair done can also be very relaxing — you just sit back and let them do their thing. Even getting your hair washed and blowdried can make you feel like a million bucks. While relaxing, look forward to a change in how you look and feel about yourself.
You can do this as much as you want, and most people get their nails done every two weeks and their hair done around every 4-6 weeks. But with everything else you would like to consider to be caring for yourself, you can do as much as you want.
Just taking a day to do your hair, makeup, dressing up or just taking an extra long shower, getting into some sweats and eating some snacks can be very relaxing and you will feel rejuvenated. Take a day to care for yourself, and only yourself, and you will feel mentally and physically better.
