President Joe Biden was inaugurated in Washington D.C on Jan. 20 amidst a high-profile group of people, including former Presidents Obama, Bush, and Clinton. Lady Gaga, J-Lo, and new poet sensation Amanda Gorman performed at the ceremony.
Biden got busy on his very first day, signing 17 executive orders that undo some of Trump’s policies. Some of these executive orders include rejoining the Paris Agreement, a multinational effort to combat climate change, and reinstating ties with the World Health Organization. During his presidency he plans on strengthening the nation’s response to COVID-19 and fostering unity across the political spectrum.
