2020 has been a crazy year to say the least. One thing that has kept most people (especially Gen Z) sane is the recently popular app TikTok. With roughly 850 million users, many teens have risen to fame on this app. 16-year-old Charli D’amelio is no exception.

D’amelio went from being a normal teenager dancing in her room, to dancing for her 91.6 million TIkTok followers (and counting). With this fame, she has many young girls who idolize her.

She created her own personal Dunkin Donuts iced coffee called “The Charli” that has all of these young girls filled with excitement. This drink has not only caught the attention of these girls, but almost anyone who has TikTok.

Insider.com described the drink tasting like “sweet leftover cereal milk.”

I decided to switch up my order this morning on my daily visit to Dunkin. I ordered “The Charli” and found out it is as simple as cold brew, whole milk and caramel. I will admit, it is better than I assumed. It definitely has a lot of sugar in it, and I don’t think I would want to drink it as my daily iced coffee. Over the course of my day I realized it gave me a lot more energy than my usual coffee does, which is a little bit concerning if the drink is targeting 13-14-year-old girls. I would not recommend it if you are not used to drinking coffee and definitely wouldn’t recommend it if you do not have much of a sweet tooth. Once you get through the original round of all the sugar, it is a pretty good drink. I do not think it deserves the amount of hype it has now though.

Overall, “The Charli” will definitely give you enough energy to “renegade” all day if you really want to!
